What is this game about?

Our Short-Term Youth is a poetic story of how fleeting time can be as we follow Griffin Voiyon, a man who is re-experiencing various memories from throughout his life due to a phenomenon known as the Non-linear Cascading Revelation effect—or as most know it, a life review. 

Griffin wakes in his childhood home, he is in his bed, but this is not the bed he went to sleep in. Thinking it is a dream, Griffin plays along; getting to speak to his mother for the first time in years, getting to see his cat, along with a few friends and others along the way. After a while of reliving old memories, Griffin begins to realize he is not in control of this dream. 

Memories start getting darker and darker, stitched together like an amalgamation of various fever dream-inspired memories. Unable to escape this not-a-dream nightmare, Griffin must live through memories he had repressed, slowly learning many truths to make it to The Way Out.

Meet some of the characters!

 Griffin Voiyon:

The main character! Griffin is a kind, quiet, and reserved person. He knows when he shouldn’t talk and when he needs to speak up. He loves his friends, family, cat, and various other things. Griffin is 15 at the beginning of his journey.

 A Familiar Cub: 

A bear that brings Griffin nostalgia! Those who stumble across him are filled with joy. He appears at various campsites throughout the player's journey.

Tiger:

Tiger is Griffin’s cat. Coined as the family cat, Tiger likes to follow Griffin around and he meows. He likes his toys and he’s quite curious. 

What can you do?

Quests! There are a wide variety of quests the player must go through while finding  answers about the land. From collecting, traversing through mazes,  and being tasked to find lost animals, there is so much to explore! Complete each quest and you will find the truth!
